Work through the steps
- Choose three stories covering a result, a difficult decision, and a lesson from something that did not work. Separate your contribution from the team’s work.
- Ask AI to interview you one question at a time using the job description. Answer before asking for feedback. Require follow-up questions about evidence and tradeoffs.
- Prepare a small optional sample: a public-information process review, a one-page idea, or a clearly hypothetical first-30-days plan. Label assumptions and avoid presenting speculative advice as an inside diagnosis.
- Rehearse explaining the sample in two minutes. Disclose AI assistance when relevant and follow the employer’s assessment rules. For substantial take-home work, clarify scope, ownership, and time expectations before proceeding.

Act as a realistic interviewer for [role]. Ask one question at a time and wait. Evaluate my answer for relevance, my contribution, evidence, tradeoffs, and clarity. Do not reward invented detail or write an answer before I try. Ask a follow-up where evidence is weak. Finish with three practice priorities, not a hiring prediction.
Before you call it finished
Can you answer follow-up questions about the work? Is the sample scoped appropriately and clearly separate from confidential or paid client work?
