A job search routine that fits in your week

Thirty focused minutes on a regular schedule often beats an exhausting weekend of applications.

Choose your three sessions

Put three short blocks in your calendar: one to find roles, one to apply, and one to reach out to people. Treat them like appointments you keep with yourself.

Keep a simple tracker

A spreadsheet with the company, role, date, contact, status, and next step is enough. It helps you follow up on time and notice which kinds of roles respond.

Spend one session on people

Many opportunities move through conversations. Use one block each week to thank someone, reconnect with a former colleague, or ask for a short informational chat. Be specific about what you hope to learn.

Review on Friday

Look at what you sent and what came back. Keep doing what produced replies. Change one thing about what did not, whether that is the roles you target, your summary, or your outreach message.
