AI FOR YOUR CAREER / LESSON 1

Find your direction with Builder DNA

Use your experience, preferences, and real constraints to choose a direction worth testing. Builder DNA can help you reflect on how you like to build and work; it is not a hiring score or a prediction of career success.

Career direction: reflect on strengths, test a role, choose a next step.

Work through the steps

  1. Gather five real achievements, three tasks that energize you, and constraints such as hours, location, and income needs. Remove private employer information.
  2. If you already have Waymaker Builder DNA results, choose two or three highlights you recognize and one you question. Add examples that support or contradict each highlight. You can complete this exercise without results.
  3. Ask AI for three role hypotheses. For each, require evidence you already have, gaps to test, and a small experiment. Compare the hypotheses with actual job descriptions.
  4. Choose one direction for a two-week test. Speak with someone doing the work and record what changes your mind. Add reviewed Builder DNA highlights to your JobCoach career profile if useful.

Act as my career strategist. Use only the experience and optional Builder DNA highlights below. Separate facts, preferences, and hypotheses. Suggest three role directions, evidence for each, important gaps, and one low-cost experiment per direction. Do not treat personality results as limits. Ask for missing information before writing my one-page career brief. [Paste reviewed notes.]

Before you call it finished

Can you explain why this direction fits using two real examples? Did you include constraints and a way to disprove your assumption?
